Presenting ‘The Koncepts’, a musical brainchild of Volker Patent, German-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist, The Koncepts was formed in 2018, sometime around July together with Russel Pavitt, Cahon percussionist extraordinaire.
Following solo adventures as an original songwriter and covers artist Volker was joined by Russell after a chance meet at a jam at Gerry Smith’s from the Mansion Club. Musically they hit it off and Russell and Volker joined forces as a Duo, and after their first performance at the London, Islington are rapidly gaining a loyal fan base in the Beds Herts region. Together they played 20 gigs in 2018 including a debut in The Islington, London, and haven’t yet disappointed. Whether doing covers or originals their lively and slightly crazy approach to performance and live jamming of material always promises to bring out some new aspects to the fore and entertaining crowds who come back to see them again and again. Boasting of a local following in Bedfordshire there is something for everyone in what they do.
An album is in the offing sometime for late 2018 early 2019 and they are currently looking to expand their line up with other competent musicians, to broaden their appeal further.
